Over the next few weeks, students may notice something different about Goldfarb Commons. From October 10-31, the commons will be home to the Clothesline Project, a display of shirts with messages and pictures, designed by women who have been victims of sexual violence and their friends or families. The project is sponsored by the student group VAWA (Violence Against Women Awareness), and is designed to honor the strength of women who have come forward and to raise awareness about sexual violence. The project also allows individuals to share information in a safe and confidential manner. Brown School students had the opportunity to design their own shirts on October 10-12, which will be displayed in the commons for the rest of the month. If you are visiting or working at the Brown School during the month of October, be sure to take some time to read their inspiring messages.
